Engraved QR Asset Tags That Last
A permanent asset tag starts with the right material. We supply engraved QR tags in four material grades, sized and finished to suit your equipment, environment and budget. Each tag carries a unique QR code that links to your managed asset page.
All tags are engraved — not printed — ensuring the QR code and text remain readable for the life of the asset, even in harsh industrial conditions.

Tag Materials
Choose the material that matches your operating environment. Each is suitable for different conditions, from office equipment to outdoor plant and hazardous areas.
Stainless Steel
316 grade — industrial & outdoor
Stainless steel tags offer the highest level of durability. Resistant to corrosion, chemicals, UV exposure and extreme temperatures. Ideal for outdoor plant, mining, marine environments, refrigeration and heavy industrial equipment. The engraved QR code remains sharp and scannable for the full service life of the tag.
- Corrosion resistant — suitable for outdoor, coastal and wash-down areas
- Withstands extreme temperatures and chemical exposure
- Secure screw or rivet mounting
Anodised Aluminium
Lightweight — general industrial & indoor
Anodised aluminium tags offer a strong balance of durability and value. The anodised finish resists corrosion and abrasion, while the material is lighter than stainless steel. Suitable for general industrial equipment, warehouse assets, workshop tools and indoor plant where a robust tag is needed without the weight of steel.
- Lightweight — ideal for smaller assets or portable equipment
- Anodised surface resists corrosion and scratching
- Adhesive or screw mounting options
Engraving Laminate
Multi-layer colour — indoor assets & branding
Engraving laminate (engravers plastic) uses a coloured surface layer over a contrasting core. The engraving cuts through the top layer to reveal the core colour, creating a permanent high-contrast mark. Available in a range of colour combinations for corporate branding, safety colour coding or high-contrast QR readability. Suitable for indoor equipment, switchboards, control panels and office assets.
- Choice of colour combinations for branding or safety coding
- High-contrast engraving that will not wear off
- Adhesive backing — quick application
Industrial Plastic
Cost-effective — light-duty & indoor
Industrial plastic tags provide a cost-effective option for indoor assets where the environment is controlled. The material is lightweight, easy to apply with adhesive backing, and the engraved surface remains clear under normal conditions. Best suited for office equipment, IT assets, furniture, shelving and consumable tracking where a metal tag is not necessary.
- Most economical option for high-volume asset tagging
- Lightweight — ideal for small assets and consumables
- Adhesive backing — tool-free application

Tag Durability — What to Expect
The durability of an engraved tag depends on the material you choose and the environment it is placed in. Stainless steel and anodised aluminium offer the best resistance to harsh conditions. Engraving laminate and industrial plastic are suited to indoor environments with controlled exposure. We can advise on the best material for your specific application — contact us to discuss your requirements.
